About Us

The Indian Institute for Medical Technology is an Non-profit organisation registered under The West Bengal Societies Registration Act of 1961.

Several distinguished Doctors and Bio Medical Technologists are rendering their services purely on voluntary basis for the sake of academic interest. Our Institute obtained Income tax exemption u/s  80G as a social organization.

We have conducted 9 sessions of three month Certificate Course for the post graduate Doctors since 2005. Such unique Course is yet to be introduced by any University at the national level.  

Doctors along with Faculties of several Govt. Medical Colleges are attending it to enhance their skill in critical care medicine and technology for last 12 years. Participating doctors are hailing from Calcutta Medical College, N R S Medical College, National Medical College, SSKM Hospital Etc. To make this course more effective and fruitful we shall be collaborating with Institute of Health & Family welfare – Govt. of West Bengal vide order Ref. No. IHFW/FCCTMM/7/2016/386 Dated on 04/05/2016. Presently one year Fellowship Course has been permitted both by Govt. and WBUHS for which necessary essentiality certificate and affiliation Certificates have been issued.
